Introducing GenFi Ministries
Church Extension Plan Announces Name Change to GenFi Ministries
Salem, OR – June 19, 2025 – Church Extension Plan (CEP), a trusted financial partner for ministries for 75 years, is excited to announce that effective June 30, 2025, it will officially transition to a new corporate name:

This rebranding reflects the organization’s enduring commitment to impacting the Kingdom for generations through innovative financial solutions, including church loans, investments, and retirement plans.
The name GenFi Ministries encapsulates the organization’s vision of promoting Financial Strength and Generational Impact, while continuing to offer the same trusted products and services clients have relied on for decades. This change is not the result of a merger or acquisition, but rather a strategic decision to better align the organization’s identity with its mission, values, and expanding service offerings.
“We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter as GenFi Ministries,” said Mark Whitney, President of GenFi Ministries. “This name change celebrates our 75-year legacy while positioning us to serve our clients with renewed focus and purpose. We deeply value our partnerships and look forward to continuing to support ministries for generations to come.”
With a growing regional presence—including a new office in Florida—expanded financial education initiatives, and a new mobile app releasing later this year, GenFi Ministries is ready to build the future on a strong foundation.
